How Should I Handle an Employee's Request for a Revised Salary Letter After a Probation Raise?

venkatchowdary.m
Hi, one of our employees' salaries increased within a 3-month period after he joined. We had committed to him at the time of joining that after completing the probation period, his salary would be xxxxx based on his performance. In line with this commitment, we have increased his pay, and he receives payslips every month.

However, we have not issued an increment letter. The employee is now requesting a revised salary letter. Issuing Increment Letters Typically, in our organization, we only provide increment letters to our staff annually. Can we issue him the letter now? What details should I include in the letter? Please advise.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Venky

Normally, no letters are issued regarding the annual increment accrual, but an order is issued for a special or additional increment. The pay slip suffices to prove the normal increment.

Now, in this case, it looks like a special increment and requires a proper order to be issued to the Finance Department to draw it. A copy thereof can be issued to the individual concerned.
