It is not as if you have a choice in whether you will accept ESIC or not.

Your attachment is self-explanatory. So, you should go with ESIC rather than Mediclaim Insurance because in insurance, you have only limited benefits, but in ESIC, vast benefits are available.

Hi,

ESI is statutory and not optional, whereas Mediclaim insurance is optional and at the discretion of the employer.

While ESI will be beneficial for employees covered under it, Mediclaim will be beneficial for employees who were not covered under ESI.

ESIC is a statutory, and mediclaim policy is optional. We advise taking treatment at ESIC hospitals, which are good and beneficial for your family.

As already clarified here, ESIC is statutory and has unlimited benefits. If the company is willing to provide extra coverage for its workforce, it can opt for additional coverage such as mediclaim. Thanks
