Does Apprenticeship schemes mandatory to follow for IT companies too?

Apprenticeship schemes are mandatory to follow for IT companies as well. What is the process for it? Does a company need to enroll for it on the NAPS portal?

We are a software development company that offers services and products in technologies such as Java, .Net, Data Analytics, and Software Testing. Can B.E/B.Tech/MCA freshers also avail of this scheme? What should be the minimum stipend for these individuals, and what should be the minimum duration of apprenticeship?

All the industries which have 30 or more employees, including indirect employees, shall engage the apprentice under NAPS/NATS, which is mandatory, including the IT/ITES Industry.

You can engage up to 15% of the apprentice based on your headcount. In Karnataka and Maharashtra, it's permitted up to 25%.

The stipend varies between NAPS and NATS, and you can offer more as well.

The minimum tenure under NATS is 6 months, and you can engage for up to 1 year.
