Struggling to Rejoin My Dream Company After Health-Related Resignation: Need HR Advice

sai-kumar1
Hi all, I got a job with a good package. I worked for one complete month. Later, in the second month, due to my health issue, I resigned. The doctor suggested taking complete rest due to piles. I informed the manager and HR, but they did not accept my request for leave, so I resigned from my position. They asked me to serve the notice period, but I explained that I was unable to do so. They agreed and asked me to pay the notice amount. After that, they relieved me from my position, but I haven't paid the amount even after one month.

I have recovered from my health issue and tried to contact the manager and HR, but no one responded to me. I attempted to rejoin by reaching out to them, but again, no one responded. Subsequently, the recovery team contacted me to pay the amount owed to the company for not serving the notice period. Due to the doctor's serious decision, I lost my job. Now, I am facing difficulties in finding a new job. Whom should I contact to get my job back in the same company? I am willing to pay the recovery amount. It's my dream company, and I hope to be reinstated. It is now the fifth month, and I am in need of HR suggestions. Please advise.

Once you have been relieved from a company, the legal relationship ceases to exist. Therefore, rejoining will not happen automatically. You don't have any right to demand that you should be allowed to rejoin. However, if the company is ready to take you back, you can rejoin under the new terms and conditions that the company will provide.

If the HR is not responding
If HR is not responding, you have to wait, or you can approach them directly by going to the office and discussing the matter. Don't assume that they will respond positively because the supply of human resources is very elastic. They can find enough manpower and may not want to wait for an employee who left the company voluntarily.

Hi, you need to knock on the doors of your ex-employer. Whether to open them or not is at their discretion. You may communicate to them that you are now medically fit to join, supported by a doctor's certificate.
