Facing Forced Resignation Due to Manager's Ego: How Can I Seek Compensation?

akanksha-harjai
I have been asked to resign forcefully by HR, stating I have an attitude problem. They are not ready to issue me a termination letter and are stretching the matter for a month.

Escalation of Manager's Harassment

The problem started when I escalated the manager's harassment to the top management, as she had only given me an annual increment of 3%. Moreover, she was always rude in her conduct and used bad language (e.g., "tu ye karde, tu vo karde" types).

Manager's Behavior and Impact

My manager, who is a female, is an egoistic person and holds grudges against people. Some previous employees silently wrote their resignations and left. I have worked in the company for 3.5 years and have never received any written complaints. I do not wish to resign like this. All this has already created a lot of mental agony.

Seeking Compensation

What steps can I take for compensation as working under her is impossible now?

Hi, I suggest you discuss with HR or the Technical Head and request a change in your team. If that doesn't work, please consider resigning to be smoothly relieved. You mentioned that the above issue has caused a lot of mental anguish, so why continue to endure pain for an issue that is beyond your control? Returning peacefully home at the end of the day is important for your well-being.

You could escalate the matter to Top Management, but ultimately, local Management may terminate your employment citing various reasons which could negatively impact your future career. Therefore, it is advisable to seek proper relief.

Sir, I was very close to a department change. I was informed on Friday that I would be receiving a new letter today. However, the tables turned, and that woman intervened again. The HR seems to be her best friend or something, as he totally takes her side and isn't willing to listen. They called me today and are forcing me to resign. They are just not willing to put anything in writing themselves.

I do not wish to resign like this at all. Is there a way I can get compensation as they are terminating me without a proper reason?
