Hi All, I have an offer from TCS and am currently serving my notice period in my current company. I borrowed a loan from the bank, and due to financial issues in my family, I couldn't repay it, resulting in the bank pressuring me to repay the loan. Since I could not pay the money right away, I asked the bank to give me some time to repay it, but they didn't grant any time and kept sending recovery agents to my house, creating lots of issues. Due to this, I filed a suit against the bank in the civil court to get time to repay the loan amount. In the meantime, to repay the amount, I started searching for jobs and got an offer from TCS. While uploading my documents for background verification in the TCS career portal, there was a section named security under which it was asked, "whether you are involved in any pending or closed civil/criminal cases in the past." In a hurry, I chose "no" to this question. Now that I have the offer, I realize that I should have mentioned this civil case at the time of filling out the background verification section. So my question is, will this civil case, which I have filed against the bank, be an issue in my employment with TCS? Also, I am thinking of informing them about this as I don't want to hide anything from them. Please answer. Note - I don't have any civil or criminal case against me. It's me who has filed a case against the bank to buy some time to repay the amount.
