Confused About Notice Period Recovery: Is Basic Salary the Same as Base Salary?

I emailed HR, and they sent me this: "Your separation will be closed under abandonment of services with rehiring No and deduction of notice period recovery (30 days basic salary)." So, my question is, what is basic salary? Is it base salary, or is it personal pay?

Hi, In the normal course, it should be one month's gross salary and not basic salary. Any amount in excess of your one month's gross pay (if accrued) they are liable to pay to you.
