Claim Rejected for Form 19 & 10C: How to Resolve Date of Joining Issues?

chandan-pati
I have submitted a claim for Form 19 & 10C, but it's rejected due to the Date of Joining (DOJ) being 01.07.2019. However, I have not received any communication since August 2019. The contribution has been deposited by the employer.

Kindly advise on what steps to take next.

Contact the employer; they are the only authorized entity to ensure compliance.

Contact your employer and ask them to arrange to make the necessary corrections in PF records if the Date of Joining (DOJ) is actually wrong.

Hi friends, the issue with my PF closure is that I had a three-month break in service, and the PF contributions were not paid during that time. When I applied for the closure at the PF office, my application was rejected. The PF office requested an explanation letter from the institution regarding the break in service. How should I handle this?

The employer has to fill in the NCP days (Non-Contributory Period). Then it stands justified.

Mr. Chandan, please download the new PF passbook and check the contribution history. July is the wage month, so your contribution month is August, and there is no issue. If possible, visit the PF office with the new PF passbook, meet the PRO, and bring along the claim rejection screenshot printout.
