Can a Parent Company Handle Provident Fund Contributions for Subsidiary Employees?

MattMurdock
Can a parent company make provident fund contributions for employees of subsidiary companies? Can a parent company make provident fund contributions for employees of subsidiary companies or other group companies? Or is it necessary for the PF contribution to be paid by the employing entity itself? If yes, what is the source for this?

If the subsidiary companies follow the subcodes of the parent company, the contributions can be paid through the parent company. Even if you don't have the same code for all the establishments, payment of contributions from a single control unit is possible. However, you have to log in separately for each unit.

If the subsidiary company or another group company has different balance sheets, trade licenses, etc., then a separate PF code will be required. Otherwise, it is possible to deposit under one code.
