My company is an auto ancillary company. Can we hire a contractor for job work or a labor supplier for our in-house manufacturing work? Are we allowed to let them work on the factory premises?
You need to check if it is a prohibited activity as per the CLRA Act 1971. If it is not prohibited by the State Government, then you can go ahead and award it as a contract. It is better to avoid a labor supply contract; instead, give it as a works contract with defined outcomes.
