I worked at XYZ Limited plant from 04 July 2016 to 23 April 2018 as a DET. I recently collected my experience letter and, to my dismay, noticed that the exit date mentioned in the given letter is incorrect - it states 21 May 2018, whereas the actual date was 23 April 2018. This discrepancy results in an extra month being accounted for. I promptly joined my next company on 24 April 2018.
I have attached a copy of the relieving letter approved by the respective department head. Upon contacting the HR team, they have refused to correct the date. Additionally, they have marked me as Absent (LWP) from 24th April to 21 May 2018.
As a consequence, I am facing issues with a potential new offer as the company is withholding the offer letter due to this problem.
