Freelancer or On-Roll? Confused About ESIC Eligibility for Freelancers in Skill Development?

Hello, I am Shaurya, currently working as an Assessor/Examiner in the Skill Development sector. My Assessment Body or company has listed me as an on-roll assessor on the portal, but they have actually engaged me as a Freelancer Assessor through a signed contract. I do not receive a monthly salary; rather, I am compensated on a per-assessment basis.

Recently, they processed my ESIC. My question is: Are freelancers eligible for ESIC coverage?

What exactly is your problem? If you are registered under ESIC and receiving the benefits, that is good, right? Is there an issue with them listing you as an on-roll employee?
