Navigating Factory HR Duties: What Formalities and Notices Are Essential?

Hello everyone, I want to know what formalities I need to follow in the factory premises as an HR. Additionally, I would like to know if there is any specific information required to be posted on the notice board.

You may consider the following:

1) Factory work timings/breaks
2) Factory working days & weekly off
3) If you have certified Standing Orders, a copy could be exhibited.
4) Security emergency number
5) Other emergency numbers like Fire Department, contact numbers of hospitals nearby
6) Works committee members (Names, Mobile numbers)

You will also need to put a lot of other notices on the notice board, including abstracts of various acts such as the Notice under the Contract Labour Act, Gratuity Act, shift timings, pay days, holidays, etc.

The list can only be made based on the acts that apply to you. Otherwise, it is a vague answer.

Hi Chinari Arabindo, To comply with regulations, it is necessary to include the Factory Inspector's name and contact details. Additionally, the wage payment dates must be clearly displayed in accordance with the Payment of Wages Act. The relevant authorities to be mentioned are the Factories Inspector, Labour Commissioner/Inspector, and the factory manager.

Notice Requirements
Furthermore, as per Form 11 under section 61 and rule 98 of the Factories Act, a notice of the periods of work in Form 16 should be prominently displayed on the factory notice board.
