Confused About Wage Limits for PF and ESI in New Labour Codes? Need Your Guidance!

Dear all, I have gone through the new labour codes on social security 2020 and need clarification. In this code, there is no mention of a salary ceiling for covering employees like 15,000 for PF and 21,000 for ESI, even in the current PF or ESI act. It only mentions "such wages as may be prescribed by the appropriate Government."

Where do I find that reference? My question might look silly; please don't mistake me. I am new to this and in the learning stage. I need expert guidance and advice. Please help.

Wage Ceiling and Notification Process

The wage ceiling is not included in the code as it would then require parliamentary approval for all modifications. Instead, they intend to notify the limits and the terms so that changes can be made by administrative order.

PF Limit Notification

The limit of PF will be in the PF scheme or will be notified separately when the act comes into force. At the moment, consider it at 15,000. However, it is expected that the limit will be increased to 21,000 as ESIC is already at that level.

Where can I find the existing notifications regarding PF and ESI or other applicable thresholds for various acts? Is there an official site where these notifications are periodically released? I would appreciate any guidance and assistance.
