New Employee in January: Can They Get an April Performance Appraisal?

Dear HR Professionals,

If the performance appraisal period is from April to March, I would like to know if an employee who joins in January would be eligible for an appraisal in April, considering the employee would have only been with the organization for 3 months at that time. Additionally, if someone joins in November or December, would that employee also be eligible for an appraisal in April?

Please advise. Your help is greatly appreciated.
