I have recently joined a company, and for various reasons, especially health being the prime reason, I submitted my resignation on the third day into the office along with the medical documents. However, I was informed by the company that the medical documents provided were not satisfactory for an immediate exit. My manager was notified that I would not be serving notice and was asked to apply leave for me. I had previously mentioned in an email that I am willing to serve notice if the company requires. Nevertheless, when asked for medical information, the documents submitted indicated that I am unfit to work.
Now, I am unsure why the company is holding me back when I have not started any work yet. They are making statements like "leave during notice" to ensure that I do not earn anything until the notice period is over.
Questions Regarding Employment Status
Will I be able to take up another assignment, either full-time or part-time? Will I receive my off days and medical insurance during the notice period in this current company? How can I better utilize this short experience in my career?
Up to this date, I have been logging in and out appropriately according to the work hours and completing the induction tasks. Should I request payment for these days, at least?
