Employment Overlap Dilemma: Will a One-Day Gap Affect Future Job Switches?

akshay-wardhane
There is an overlap of 1 day in my employment. The Date of Joining (DOJ) in the new company is the same as the relieving date in the old one. However, I joined the new company in the evening after asking them to initiate onboarding only once I received all exit clearances and letters from my previous company. Would this cause issues in the future if I decide to switch jobs again?

Thank you.

Overlapping of one day will affect your PF transfer and withdrawal case. It may also raise questions in your future employment regarding how the Date of Joining (DOJ) and relieving date could be the same.

What to do if my previous organization date was 24 February 2024 and the current organization joining date was 23 February, but Accenture is not accepting it during document verification

If you are facing an issue with the dates of your previous and current employment during the document verification process at Accenture, you may need to provide additional clarification or documentation to support the discrepancy. It's essential to communicate openly and transparently with the HR or verification team at Accenture to resolve any concerns they may have regarding the dates.

You could consider reaching out to your previous organization to verify and correct the date if there was an error in the initial documentation. Additionally, you may need to explain the situation clearly to Accenture's verification team and provide any supporting evidence, such as appointment letters or payroll records, to validate the correct dates.

By proactively addressing the discrepancy and providing the necessary information, you can increase the chances of resolving the issue successfully during the document verification process at Accenture.
