Issuing Old Experience Letter when company name has changed

Hi,

We've an employee who worked from 2014 to 2017 with us. In 2018, the company name changed. He has reached out to us stating he lost the experience letter & has requested for re-issue.

My questions are -
1) Can the letter for experience till 2017 be given on a new latest letter head of the company ?
2) What should be the date of issuance of the letter (Older/Fresh)?

You can issue a fresh certificate with revised date (date of preparation of certificate) and
have it issued on the latest letter head of the company, mentioning his tenure of service.
