satish_welspun
Hi,

As per the provisions of the BOCW Act, It applies to every establishment which employs, or had employed on any day of the preceding twelve months, ten or more building workers in any building or other construction work. Every employer shall get registration within 60 days of commencement of work.

I request to kindly confirm it it mandatory in the part of a principal employer to get the registration done under the Act, where non of the building workers engaged by them.

Requested to please suggest.

The registration is to be done by the employer (in this case, contractor) not the owner of the factory where the manufacturing is done. But the factory has to pay the cess
