Dependent Benefits Under the ESI Act 1948

Dependent benefits under the ESI Act 1948 are payable for an employment injury sustained as an employee as per the Act (Section 46(4)). Please provide more details, such as whether he was required to be present at the accident site as an employee, whether he was discharging some duty when the accident happened, or if it was incidental to the work the deceased was doing, etc.

PF and Other Benefits

The PF benefits, such as EPS payment, EDLI amount, and PF accumulation, are payable. Similarly, if there is a Labour Welfare Fund contribution, then the benefits thereunder would be applicable. It does not make any difference whether the deceased was under the influence of alcohol or if the death took place outside the plant for these benefits.
