Why do the companies recruit safety officers?

WHY THE COMPANIES RECRUIT SAFETY OFFICERS ?
The Employer and National Governments have a duty to protect their peoples and employees so the governments insists the industries to prevent accidents by appointing the highly qualified safety officers by the verification of Govt approved occupational health and safety training course certificates.

Appointment of Safety Inspectors is a statutory requirement as per Factories Act 1948 and prevention of accidents is only one of the duties. As per Section 40B of the Act, the duties and responsibilities shall be given in the State Rules and it can be consulted to get the full picture.
