Transitioning from Gram Panchayat to Nagar Palika: Does ESIC Apply Automatically or Will We Be Notified?

Query regarding ESIC implementation

There is a provision for the applicability of the act in each jurisdiction. Initially, one company was covered under Gram Panchayat jurisdiction, so the establishment was exempted from the ESIC. Now, the establishment has been covered under Nagar Palika/urban development authority.

The query pertains to the applicability of the ESIC. Will the ESIC corporation notify the establishment, or does the act automatically apply to the respective establishment?

Dear Colleague, The ESI Scheme is extended to different places by notification in the official gazette, mentioning the Revenue Village name, etc. Generally, their notification gives a clear picture, and you may check with your nearest ESI Regional Office with your Village/Revenue District Details for clarity.

Can you put your question in a clearer manner? I am not able to understand what your problem really is.

Understanding ESIC Notifications

Are you expecting that ESIC will put a notification specifically naming your factory? That is not how it works. They notify a district at a time (in many states, they have just notified the whole state), and as long as your area is covered, you are required to pay ESIC.

Incidentally, putting posts in all capitals is considered shouting and is rude. Please avoid that.
