Retirement Month Salary: Should It Cover the Full Month or Just Until Today?

A person is completing 58 years as of today. Please clarify whether the salary is to be processed until today or for the full month?

As far as salary is concerned, you can work out only up to the date of retirement. If you have any internal policy to pay the full month's salary (some companies have this policy as goodwill).

From a legal point of view, it suffices if you pay up to the date of retirement.

It is a practice in government and in corporates also to retire any employee on the last day of the month in which he/she completes the age of superannuation. However, it may vary from company to company as per their policies. You may act accordingly.
