HR Professional Seeking Labor Law Courses to Enhance Career – Any Recommendations?

Sudhapradheep
Dear All, I am presently working as an HR in charge at a reputed school, with 5 years of experience. I am interested in learning labor law and have completed an MBA in Tamil Nadu. Could you kindly suggest some courses that would add value to my profession? Thank you.

Dear Colleague,

Law Courses in Tamil Nadu

If you are interested in law, in Tamil Nadu, only full-time courses are available. Instead, if you want to study law for a deeper understanding to support your HR profession, you can pursue a Bachelor of General Laws, which includes Labour Laws as one of the papers. Universities like Madurai Kamaraj University and Madras University offer this 2-year program.

Diploma in Labour Laws

Another option is to opt for a Diploma in Labour Laws and Administrative Law from the same universities, which is a 1-year course.

HR Certification Programs

If you wish to update your HR knowledge, there are numerous certification programs available. You can find more information on these programs at Naukri.com: https://www.naukri.com/learning/huma...training-st589.

The best option, if feasible for you, is to enroll in certification programs on HR from renowned institutions like IIM, XLRI, or Symbiosis.

All the best and God bless!

Dear Sudha, everyone with a minimum general educational qualification and a legal bent of mind can study law on his/her own and even attain excellence. However, institutionalized learning would be more methodical and help hone your skills in law.

Therefore, I would recommend the B.A.L (Bachelor of General Laws) course offered by Annamalai University or any other university through distance mode. It would be more economical, and you can do it at your own pace without it being detrimental to your present job.

Merry Christmas to you and all CiteHR members.

Reference to Labour Law Attachment

Reference is made to the on-hand Labour Law attachment. I wonder if it is useful for you? I am concerned if it is out of date.

Best regards,
