Confused About Withdrawing from Two PF Accounts Under One UAN? Here's My Dilemma

Ayaz
Issue with PF Accounts and Withdrawal

I have two PF accounts under one UAN number. I joined the first organization in September 2014. In September 2018, I attended an interview at a new organization but didn't join. However, the company created my PF account. I continued my job with my previous organization and left the job in April 2019. In March 2020, I applied for PF withdrawal, but it was rejected. Later, I discovered that the company I didn't join was still showing that I was working there. I contacted HR, and he corrected my joining date to 1st September 2018 instead of 2nd September 2018.

After the correction, I claimed the amount, and they created a claim for Rs. 73, which has been settled now. I tried to transfer the amount from my previous organization to the new one, but EPFO rejected it, stating that the claim has already been settled. However, the amount is already showing in the passbook. Could you please advise on how I can withdraw the amount?

Please contact your employer. An employer declaration is required. Based on that, the EPFO will activate your account so you can proceed with the transfer or withdrawal.
