New Employee Onboarding: When Can We Set Up Their ESIC IP and UAN Numbers?

After how many days of an employee joining an organization can we create their ESIC IP and UAN number and file their monthly contributions?

If the employee falls within the salary threshold mentioned under both the ESI and PF Acts, then from day one of the appointment and their joining day itself, he/she needs to be covered, and necessary enrollments need to be done. When doing the monthly contributions after payroll, their contributions will get updated in the portal. The coverage starts from day one.
