Missing Form 16 for Non-Taxable Salary: How to Explain This to Infosys During Background Check?

I don't have Form 16 for one of my previous employments in the past year (2016-17), and the salary falls under the non-taxable category. Now, Infosys is requesting Form 16 from that organization. I have shared the offer letter, relieving letter, salary slips, bank statements, etc. Will there be an issue with the Infosys offer due to the missing Form 16? I tried to access Form 26AS, but the entry is empty in that document. How can I communicate this during the background verification process?

Dear Colleague, whether taxable or non-taxable, the components you were receiving will be reflected in your payslips. Form 16 will also show the total salary paid and what was subject to TDS, etc. Form 26A shows all TDS deductions from various sources in one combined form. Depending on your needs, you may use payslip/Form 16/Form 26A, which reflects the correct and exact figures. If required, you may also obtain a salary certificate from your previous employer during your service and then submit the correct document without any confusion to the BVG process.
