Can I Join a New Company Without a Relieving Letter and Just Use My PF Details?

Dear Sir, I have worked in a reputed MNC for a one-month period. However, due to some family reasons, I resigned from my job by sending a resignation email. After resolving my family issues, I requested a relieving letter from my employer. Unfortunately, they refused to provide the relieving letter, stating that they are unable to issue it for just one month of work. Instead, they suggested using the PF deduction as proof for future employment.

Is a relieving letter necessary for joining a new company?

I have a question now: Is a relieving letter necessary for joining a new company, or can I rely on my PF details as sufficient proof? Please reply.

Proof of Service with an MNC

PF contribution provides proof of your service with the MNC. Even the salary credited by the bank, along with your appointment order, would suffice. However, if they have accepted your resignation or issued an order terminating your service, you can seek a copy thereof.

Dear Sir, thanks for your reply. While a third party is asking for the relieving letter for a BGV check, what should I tell them? Shall I mention in the BGV form that HR told me to use PF as proof instead of the relieving letter, which was not issued?
