ESIC director insists that any employee receives below 21000 include aided staff

Sir my client is covered under ESIC. This is an educational institution. But no self-finance teacher and non-teaching staff. But ESIC director insists that any employee receives below 21000 including aided staff. Coverable. The employee receives an aide salary if yes pl send a notification.

All the employees receives below 21000 including aided staff of your client are covered under ESIC.

Being aided staff does not affect the coverage as per the ESI Act 1948, so the ESI Director is right on insisting on their coverage. It is better to go for immediate coverage lest you be charged with interest and penalty.
