You need to inform the employer of your academic status if it has not been communicated already. Seek clarification on your employment status. They may consider your case favorably.
When there is an education criterion of 80%, how was the offer rolled out by the company in your case? There could be some conditional clauses that allow those with lower than 80% to be considered. Check this out clearly.
