Hi Folks, I need advice. I joined a company where they interviewed me for one role but ended up assigning me a different job description. It's been a month at the job, and I would like to quit for a more relevant job that I have in hand. My offer letter states that during probation, if I wish to leave, I must serve a 30-day notice period, but there is no mention of payment in lieu.
I have informed the management about my resignation before receiving my salary, but they have yet to accept my resignation and are asking me to stay for 40 days. I'm not planning to include this experience on my resume, so should I leave without serving the notice period and proceed with the new job? Are there any legal implications or actions they can take against me, even though I'm ready to pay for the notice period?
