Greetings, I need clarification or advice from the fraternity. We are a manufacturing company working 3 shifts daily based in Telangana. Are there any special arrangements that need to be made for the night shift employees, such as rest time, snacks, tea, or any other requirements as per statutory norms?

As per statutory norms, it is essential to provide a half-hour rest after 5 hours of continuous work. For the night shift, many organizations offer a night shift allowance as hardship pay, applicable only for night shift duty. Some organizations also provide light snacks during the recess period.
