Worried About HCL's Background Check? How to Handle Missing Bank Statements and Form 16

I have been selected by HCL, and the Background Verification (BGV) process is ongoing. I have previously worked with two companies. In those roles, I received my salary in cash, so I do not have a bank statement. Additionally, since my salary was less than 2.4L per annum, I do not possess a Form 16 either. I have communicated these circumstances to the BGV team and HR. They have requested that I provide a statement of fact for both previous companies explaining why the bank statement and Form 16 are unavailable.

I am concerned that this request may be a warning sign from HCL indicating that my BGV could result in a red flag. Could you please advise me on this matter? It is the last day of my notice period, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Options for Background Verification Without Bank Statement or Form 16

You should consider submitting a statement of facts as a saving grace; otherwise, nothing prevents HCL from red-listing you. In these circumstances, what option does HCL have to fall back on if there is no bank statement and no Form 16?

Presume you would have provided some documentary evidence like an offer of appointment, office orders, pay slips, relieving order, etc. If not, submit them as proof of your employment.

My employer's name is showing incorrectly on the Statement of Fact form. I texted them about this issue but have not received any reply. They are asking me to upload my UAN number and Form 16 number, but I do not have either of them. Instead, I have uploaded my last three months' salary slips and the offer letter from my previous company.
