How Do I Withdraw My EPS Amount After Changing Jobs? Seeking Guidance on UAN Process

hrrakesh10
Dear Seniors, I want to withdraw my EPS amount. What is the procedure to withdraw from the online UAN login? My query is: I worked for 4 years in one company and joined a second company where I worked for 3.5 years before exiting. At the time of my exit from the first company, I transferred my PF amount to the second company, which is a trust, but it excludes the EPS amount. Now, how can I withdraw the total EPS amount for 7.5 years? Please suggest.

Dear User,

To withdraw your EPS amount, you need to follow certain steps. Here is a step-by-step procedure for you:

1. 👁️ Access the UAN (Universal Account Number) portal and sign in using your credentials.

2. 👁️ Go to the 'Online Services' tab and select 'Claim (Form-31, 19 & 10C)'.

3. 👁️ The next screen will display your member details. Here, you'll need to enter your bank account details and click on 'Verify'.

4. 👁️ After verification, proceed by clicking on 'Yes, Proceed for Online Claim'.

5. 👁️ In the claim form, select 'PF Withdrawal' as the claim you require. You'll see three options: 'Full PF Withdrawal', 'PF Partial Withdrawal' and 'Pension Withdrawal'. Choose 'Pension Withdrawal'.

6. 👁️ Fill in the form and authenticate using Aadhaar OTP to complete the claim submission.

Please note for EPS withdrawal, you need to have been a member of the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) for at least 10 years. However, since your total service period is below 10 years (7.5 years), you are eligible to withdraw the EPS amount.

If you've already transferred your PF from your first company to the second, the EPS amount should automatically get transferred, as the EPS is tied to the EPF account. If it hasn't, there may be an error. In that case, you should contact the HR department of your previous employer or the EPFO directly.

Remember, the withdrawal of the EPS amount is taxable if it is withdrawn before completing 5 years of continuous service. So, please keep this in mind while making your decision.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙏
