Employee Turnover Calculation Methodology
Years ago, I used a formula to calculate and project employee turnover using an annualized turnover factor. This factor was based on a 12-month cycle, where January was marked as the first month of data with a turnover factor of 12. The following months were assigned decreasing turnover factors as follows: February had a turnover factor of 6, March had a factor of 4, April with 3, May with 2.4, June with 2, July with 1.72, August with 1.5, September with 1.33, October with 1.2, November with 1.09, and finally, December with a factor of 1.
Unfortunately, I no longer have the Excel template that I used for this methodology. Does anyone still use this method, and would anyone be willing to share their template? I am located in the United States.
