Seeking Advice on Transitioning to a Paperless Performance Appraisal System in Manufacturing

Hi all, I am part of a mid-sized manufacturing company. We are looking forward to automating the performance appraisal system for our employees. For over 10-12 years now, we have been implementing physical appraisal forms. However, data collation and analysis are difficult with such forms. Additionally, in the present pandemic situation, we are aiming to transition into a paperless mode. I await suggestions on which software is better. If any experienced HR professionals have insights or experiences on what has worked well for you, I would greatly appreciate your input.

We developed a customized appraisal application from a software development firm. Such software requires many conditions based on company policy. It is always hard to implement such customization in a ready-made application. Such software doesn't provide a facility to modify it, and software vendors charge a high cost to make it personalized for any organization.
