Hello, we are an Ed-Tech start-up in Bangalore and are now expanding. What are all the statutory things, licenses, and any other requirements we must obtain? We are planning to hire 40 full-time employees before July 15th.

There are many factors to be considered while hiring and paying compensation. If you have already started paying, you have probably taken care of such aspects. If not, please consider critical compliances like Shops Registration, Professional Tax compliance, Labour Welfare Fund, EPF, etc.

You need the following:

- Shop & establishment license
- PF Registration
- ESIC registration
- GST Registration
- Notification under Gratuity Act for starting the office
- Profession Tax Registration
- Labour Welfare Fund Registration
