HR asking to renegotiate after accepting offer letter - at a lesser salary for another team?

Hi I got an offer letter from ABC Company a month back which I accepted from their portal
Switch to today and the HR says that the position is put on hold and will you like to renegotiate at a lesser salary for another team? This I denied
Can someone help me - I already accepted the offer letter with the date of joining and location and resigned

You withdraw your resignation after having discussion with DH. In my opinion you should not join the ABC Company because they are not firm in their commitment.
You send a letter in the name/designation of the personnel signed the offer letter, you are not going to join them since your HR XYZ has informed that the position for which my selection made and the offer letter issued has put on hold or does not exist. Therefore, my acceptance to the offer made stands unaccepted to me.

There is nothing you an really do
You can file a civil case for compensation from the company, but the lawyers fees is probably higher than what compensation you will get.
