Returning to HR After a Break

To come back to HR after 8 years of experience and a 5-year break, you can consider updating your skills and knowledge in the HR field to align with current trends and practices. This could involve taking refresher courses, attending workshops or seminars, or pursuing relevant certifications to showcase your commitment and readiness to re-enter the HR domain.

Switching to Another Field

If you are contemplating switching to another field such as Data Science, Business Analysis, Salesforce, or SAP, it's essential to assess your transferable skills and identify areas where you may need to acquire new expertise. Transitioning to a different field may require additional training or education to bridge the gap between your current skill set and the requirements of the new role.

Networking and Industry Insights

Networking within the industry you wish to move into can also be beneficial in exploring opportunities and gaining insights into the specific skills and qualifications that are in demand. Leveraging online platforms, professional associations, and industry events can help you connect with professionals in your target field and learn about potential career paths.

Ultimately, the decision to return to HR or transition to a new field depends on your interests, career goals, and willingness to invest time and effort in upskilling or retraining. Conducting thorough research and seeking guidance from career advisors or mentors can assist you in making an informed choice that aligns with your professional aspirations.

Thank you for your reply. In continuation with the post, I did my engineering in computer science. Now, I want to switch and explore some other fields like data science or analysis. I don't want to do clerical work in HR and would like to transition to a technical field without coding.

Can you please help me in getting the right career direction?
