Paternity Leave: An Overview

Paternity leaves are not mandatory, but they are paid as an additional benefit. Some organizations offer them as they consider them on par with maternity leaves. In fact, offering paternity leaves could be a good tool for employee satisfaction and engagement.

Duration of Paternity Leave

Paternity leaves, to the best of my knowledge, are offered from 3 days up to 1 week or 10 days. The number of paternity leaves can be decided based on the company's operations, the average age of staff, and the total leaves available.

Payment and Documentation

These leaves should be paid by the management upon submission of birth proof by the concerned employee.
