Hi Madhu, I am reaching out for help for my brother. He has received an offer from a company, but the issue lies with his previous firms and PF account numbers. Two firms, A and B, created two UAN numbers.
Employment Details and Issues
For Firm A, he was employed for 3 months from July to October. During this period, his date of birth (DOB) is incorrectly mentioned by the employer. For Firm B, he was employed for 1 month in November. This employment is linked with Aadhar and has the correct details.
Current Dilemma
Currently, my brother has not included Firm B's experience as it was only for 1 month and was not considered significant. He is confused about which PF number he should provide to the next organization. If he provides the UAN created by Firm B, would the new employer be able to check his service history with Firm B and ask him questions regarding that?
Kindly advise on what should be done.
