Will My One-Day Stint 5 Years Ago Affect My New Job Offer from the Same Company?

I joined a company 5 years ago but only worked for one day as I had some personal issues and had to inform them that I couldn't continue. Now, I have received an offer from the same company. Will my previous brief employment with them affect my joining this time?

Not likely from the records, but some staff members may recognize you as a familiar face. Unless somebody confronts you, it is better to keep quiet. However, think of a convincing answer if you are asked.
