Promoted to Manager but No Bonus: Why Was I Left Out and Can I Still Get It?

Shravana
I am working for a reputed private bank. I have been promoted to manager but did not receive a bonus, while all our team members, except me, received both salary and bonus. I only received the salary. What could be the possible reasons for this? Can I still get it or not?

Addressing Non-Payment of Bonus

Before you explore reasons for the non-payment of your bonus, you should speak to your immediate boss and address your grievance. This is the only way to find a solution to your situation. There is no law that states when an employee is promoted, they will become ineligible for a bonus.

Inquiring About Bonus Discrepancy

You need to ask HR why you did not receive a bonus. Your higher wages may be a reason for the non-payment of the bonus. Check with other employees in your category to see whether they received it or not.

Please reach out to HR to inquire about the reason for not receiving your bonus. It's essential to clarify any discrepancies in your compensation to ensure fair and transparent practices within the company.
