The Importance of Body Language in Communication
My opinion is quite positive, and we should consider the concept of body language. This concept is quite scientific for those well-versed in the subject, but for the ignorant, it may seem useless. Our dance forms are the best examples of body language. The mudras are an important part of nonverbal communication. Facial expressions for happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear, and disgust are the same across cultures. Body movement and posture give perceptions about a person, such as the way they sit, walk, stand, or hold their head. Gestures have meanings in communication, though they may differ slightly across cultures. Eye contact is crucial for maintaining the flow of conversation and gauging the other person's interest and response. Similarly, touch and space have their own manifestations in communication.
