How to Handle a Conflicting Joining Date When Your Current Job Ends Later?

punith-a-m
Hi all, Infosys sent me an offer letter with the Date of Joining (DOJ) as May 24th. During the HR round, I had already mentioned that my Last Working Day (LWD) in the present organization is June 1st. However, they still provided me with the joining date as May 24th. I have requested HR to postpone the DOJ, but she mentioned that there is still a lot of time. Subsequently, she has not been answering my calls or replying to my emails.

What should I do in this situation?

Thank you.

Addressing Delayed Joining Communication

The HR department is right by your side, as it is taking too much time for your joining. You have nothing much to do until they communicate. One thing you can do is send a letter by speed post to the Head of HR, mentioning your issue along with copies of the offer letter and email communication. You are taking this step as no feedback has been received. Avoid frequent phone calls, as the person may be busy.
