Struggling with Contract Labor Registration? Need Help Understanding Form V Number Requirements

Hello everyone, I've opened a recruitment agency recently. Currently, one of our customers has approached us to supply manpower on our payroll as contract labor. For this, I need to obtain contract labor registration from the government. While completing the online process, we were asked to provide the Form V number of the principal employer. Although the signed Form V has been provided by them as per Schedule 21(2), as mentioned in the registration form formalities, the V number is not understood by the employer. Please guide us.

Ans to Q-1: Your recruitment agency does not require a labor license because you are not the employer.

Steps for Engaging Manpower as a Contractor

Ans to Q-2:
(i) Ask the agency to issue a work order for the engagement of manpower by your firm.
(ii) Ask the agency to provide Form V to your agency for the above contract.
(iii) The agency would not be able to provide Form V unless their firm is registered under the CL(R&A) Act for the engagement of contract labor in their establishment.

When any company employs contract labor, they need to provide a particular form to the contractor called Form V. The format of this form will be found in the contract labor rules of your state. It should also be available on the website of the relevant authorities. You cannot obtain the contract labor license without it.
