Struggling with EPFO Digital Signature Error: Has Anyone Solved This Unexpected Issue?

We are facing a peculiar issue with the EPFO portal. We have the correct version of Mozilla Firefox 43.0.1, Java 8, and the digital signature registered in the EPFO portal. The signature PDF is displayed, but instead of asking for the password, an error message is displayed: "INFO: UNEXPECTED ERROR OCCURRED WHILE SIGNING. Exception = null."

We have tried various other versions of Firefox and IE, but the same error persists. We are at our wit's end with this, and even the IT team is unable to help. We seek kind assistance from the members. A screenshot has been attached for reference.

While trying to resolve my issue, I stumbled upon the EPFO Grievance Management System (EPFiGMS). According to the website, both members and employers can raise their issues or concerns directly through the portal. The details of the officer assigned are displayed at the end after the grievance is registered. The URL for the portal is: https://epfigms.gov.in/Grievance/GrievanceMaster.
