Struggling with EPS Form 10D Submission Error: How to Fix 'Date of Exit' Issue?

m_harish
Hi All, For one of my colleagues, who completed 58 years of age in April 2018, I marked 'Exit for EPS only' and approved the exit through the employer login. Now, when he tries to submit Form 10D for a monthly pension, he receives the error message: 'E03: Date of Exit against Current Employment is not available.' He cannot proceed further. Any idea how to circumvent this to successfully submit his claim for a monthly pension? Note: He is still working with us, and his employer is no longer contributing to his pension.

The employee sent a request to the employer to amend the date of exit in the employer portal.

I had marked "exit for 'EPS only'" through the employer login, and there is no option to change or amend the date of exit from EPS. It will automatically calculate the date when the employee completes 58 years, and we cannot change or amend that.

How to clear the error E03

To resolve the error E03, which states "Date of Exit against Current Employment is not available," ensure that the date of exit is correctly entered in the system. This error typically occurs when the exit date is missing or not updated in the employer's portal. Verify that the exit details are accurately recorded and, if necessary, contact the EPFO support for further assistance.

Correction of Error by the PF Department

I think this error needs to be corrected by the PF Department themselves. You may file a grievance through the epfigms.gov.in portal regarding this error message.

Date of exit and its implications

The date of exit signifies the discontinuation of both EPF and EPS contributions, indicating an employee's exit from the EPF with all contributions. If an employee continues to pay EPF but stops EPS due to reaching the age of 58 or above, they cannot file Form 10C or 10D unless they leave the job or reach superannuation. The employer must mark the employee as exited on a specified date and approve it. After this, all contributions towards the provident fund will cease.

Exit for EPS Only Option in the Employers PF Portal

In the Employers PF portal, there is an option to mark 'Exit for EPS only' when the employee completes 58 years of age. You can select this option to mark exit only from EPS, and EPF contributions can continue.

I had personally marked and approved this 'Exit from EPS only,' and the employee had claimed and got his monthly pension approved while contributing to EPF too.

Please guide the posting member in detail so that they can resolve the issue. Without the exit mark under EPS, Form 10D cannot be submitted.

Submitting Form 10D with PF Department Errors

Until this error is removed by the PF Department themselves, you cannot submit Form 10D.

When I raised a grievance to the PF Department regarding this error, they advised me to submit the physical claim form at the PF Office with a printout of the screenshot of this error.

Since I felt that filling out the form, attaching the supporting documents, and submitting them at the PF office was too cumbersome, I waited for about two weeks. Then, I submitted Form 10D when the PF department rectified this error.

So, you may submit Form 10D physically with supporting documents at the PF Office or wait for some days until this issue is resolved.

Hi, @M_harish, I am experiencing the same issue while applying for my father's 10D. My father retired last year. He joined EPS in 1991, hence he has two EPS schemes under his service history. I marked his DOE on the EPFO site, which correctly reflects under his service history. However, for DOE EPS, it takes the exit date, but for DOE FPS, it shows Not Available. After a day, I applied for his monthly pension form 10D but got an error, “E03: Date of Exit against Current Employment Is Not Available.” Could you please suggest what I should do in this case?

Resolution of PF Exit Date Issue

There is nothing much we can do in this case, other than waiting for a couple of weeks before this issue gets resolved by the PF authorities themselves. I think they are taking this time to update the date of exit in all their records and hence this issue.

When I raised this issue in the grievance portal, PF authorities advised me to submit the physically signed claim form at their office. However, I decided to wait for some time and try again, rather than filling out the forms and submitting them at the PF office. After about two weeks, it got resolved on its own, and I could submit the claim for a monthly pension.

Hi all, my employer has marked my exit in the EPFO portal, but I am still encountering the error E03: Date of Exit against Current Employment is not available.

Scheme Certificate Number Issue

Also, what value should be entered in the Scheme Certificate number if it is not applicable? It seems like we are required to fill it out regardless, as the form prompts for it during submission.

Please help.

Thank you

Hi all, my employer has marked my exit in the EPFO portal, but I am still getting the error E03: Date of Exit against Current Employment is not available. It seems like we need to fill it in; otherwise, it will ask to fill it when submitting the form. Please help.

Error E03 in Form 10(D) Submission

While submitting the application for the monthly pension Form 10(D) (EPS), the error E03 is shown exactly before validating the OTP (Aadhaar linked phone) and submitting the claim form online. Please look into the UAN No. 100179488723 of Sh. Jagdev Singh Saini, who retired from Punjab Markfed services (Chandigarh) on 31.08.2021.

When the employer fills Form 10D, automatic retirement filing occurs after the age of 58 by EPFO. However, an error is shown when submitting Form 10D for pension.

E03: Date of Exit Error in Current Employment

As this error arises, I would like to inform you all that two pension schemes have been initiated in EPF so far - one FPS 71 and one EPS 95. Therefore, any employee who joined before 16/11/1995 must enter the date of exit in their FPS. This information is to be provided to the EPF office through the employer, and by doing so, this error will be resolved. I have personally completed this task for more than 100 individuals.
