HR Dilemma: How Do You Cancel a Labor License for Vendors After Project Completion?

khushalthakur
Hi all, I am working as a Manager-HR in the Atal Tunnel Project in Rohtang, Manali. Our work has been completed here. Can anyone tell me what form is to be issued to our labor suppliers (Vendors) by the Principal Employer for the cancellation of the Labour license?

Dear Friend,

Please take possession of all the documents (records & registers) from the contractors engaged by you in your establishment.

Application to Licensing Authority

Make an application to the licensing authority in Form VI-B (central), but check the relevant form of the state too.

FORM VI-B

[See Rule 81(3)]

Notice of Commencement/Completion of Contract Work

(1) Name of the principal employer and address …………………..

(2) No. and date of Certificate of Registration …………………..

(3) I/We hereby intimate that the contract work (Name of work) given to (name and address of the contractor) having license No ……….. dated ……….. has been commenced/completed with effect from (date)/on (date).

Signature of the Principal Employer

To

The Inspector,

…………………

Now prepare a covering letter stating that the work is completed, hence request for a refund of the Labour security deposit addressed to the Licence issuing Authority, and attach the Original Labour Licence, Xerox Copy of Security Deposit paid challan, Form VI-A, and Form VI-B.
