New College, New Challenges: How Can I Secure Campus Placements for My Students?

I want to place my students in different companies. This is the first time I have been given the opportunity as a Training & Placement Officer. My college is new, so how do I secure campus placements for them? Please guide me.

Marketing your institution

First and foremost, the job you have to do is to market your institution to various reputable companies in your area and neighboring areas. For that, you need to personally visit and meet the Chief Executive/Director and HR-In-charge, followed by sending introduction letters requesting them to include your college's name when they conduct campus interviews/selections. If you can meet 10 companies, at least 3-4 companies may consider your college as well.

Steps to Conduct Campus Hiring

To do campus hiring, first, you need to identify the companies that usually require fresh talent and determine if they are participating in campus selection for hiring new graduates.

Second, once you identify these companies, approach the concerned authority and discuss the profile of the college. Highlight the kind of talent developed, the quality of learning instilled in students, and how professional efficiency is maintained and taught.

Third, if you conduct the campus selection environment, consider what resources you offer to facilitate the company representatives and how the setup will create a successful hiring environment.
